What Blocks a Drain
How did that get in there?
Roots are very good for our buisness . As we remove one root mass another one will be growing in another property for future work! these roots here grew into the shape of the manhole and we had to replace the brickwork due to damage.
Cooking oils , fat and grease also cause major blockages. These should not be allowed to escape into any drain. They should be poured into sealed containers stored for collection by a licensed recycling company.
Grease traps require regular emptying inorder that they function properly.Grease digesters use enzyme treament which break down the fat and oils, these need to be topped up or have a automatic dosing system. this picture shows a neglected tank which blocked and flooded a caf'e......bad for business and non to pleasant for our guys who cleaned up the mess! A peg for the nose is standard issue of course!
